Ok this was just a small trip over a weekend and not far away but it was a very important trip to me because I learned something that did change my life: I learned how to be happy and enjoy the moment. I was in Hamburg alone and I didn’t tell many that I was there, so my father for example was quite surprised when he called me and found out that I was in Hamburg.. Alone.

At first I thought it would be awkward traveling alone, but I met a lot of people who did the same. I spend the day sightseeing, trying some restaurants and planning what I could do next. I was proud of myself and I also was really really happy – I was enjoying the moment.

I visited the chocolate museum, which we don’t have in Munich, they showed me how chocolate was made and I do love chocolate – the best thing was when we got the chance to make our own chocolate :). I also met some people in the hostel and we had dinner and breakfast together and it was quite fun, I also did a shipping tour with one of those guys and the tourguide made a lot of jokes – well, at this point I can’t repeat his jokes because a) I’m bad at repeating stories of other people and b) those were one of the jokes you don’t get if you were not there.

I met one guy from Singapore and one girl from Korea, we wanted to spend the last night together having dinner, but we didn’t know where to go, so we asked someone on the streets if they know any good restaurant here in Hamburg. A couple recommended us ‘the better burger company’. When we arrived they were closing, they told us to come the next day, but when we said that it was our last night in this city, they turned on their oven extra for us. And I also got my burger for free because I was the 200st customer of them. They were soooo nice and kind and their burgers taste reeeeaaallyyy good – if you happen to be in Hamburg and if you love burger, go try the Better Burger Company !

All in all it was a great trip, I would do it again, I’m planning to do such small trips once a year, just to not forget that I am independent and I can get happy on my own 🙂
