Well, you can find inspirations anywhere, you just need to walk with open eyes through the world. Before I started this blog, I have to say, I didn’t really recognize my surroundings much and I also feel it affected my capacity for remembering somehow. I couldn’t describe certain things because I couldn’t remember and that was also why I felt a little bit uncreative sometimes … Is here anyone who also feels like that sometimes?
When I started my blog I also started to recognize my surroundings actively and it helps me to stay creative and always find new ideas to write blogposts for you guys 🙂 . But besides perceiving your surroundings, there are other places where you can find inspirations, ideas and creativity and motivations.
I. THE INTERNET
Of course that is my first spot where I find inspirations, I like to read blogs from bloggers who write about blogging or surf on Pinterest and Instagram – my favorite sources to the scandalous life of Manhattan’s elite … Just joking, who knows that line? 😉 True GG lovers, put your hands up! Pinterest and Instagram are my favorite sources for inspirations. I also found Bloglovin recently and it is also a great source for inspirations
Yes, books. Despite our dependance on the internet today and despite the more comfortable way to get everything you want to know on the internet, books are still my favorite sources for inspirations too. Not only do I like the smell of the books (am I weird ?) I still feel like my brain is soaking informations better when reading from a book. Call me old school, but books are the better entertainer for my brain. When I read a book, if it is a good one, it fires my imagination more than any picture post on the internet! AND I hate to stare at a monitor for hours, but I love to stare into books for a whole day. My recent book I have read was #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso , it’s really good!
Museums are not always boring, sometimes there are quite interesting things to explore. I got this idea post when I went to the city museum of Munich, I just wanted to see the fashion exhibition of the 30s and suddenly I had the idea for this blog post! You often find things if you are not looking for them. Try it out! And plus : You get to know how other people saw fashion or other things like art or something in their perspective.
IV. WINDOW SHOPPING
I guess we all love window shopping and dream about the things we cannot afford…BUT I like to see the window decorations of the shops, I especially like to look at greeting cards. It’s because I like to handicraft a lot and create my own greeting cards for my family and friends on their birthday, it’s more personal I think.
There are a lot of events where people share their stories about start ups, career and so on. It doesn’t matter if they are successful or not, you can learn from both sides and get inspirations from successful people. And after every event you can exchange your ideas and thoughts with other people! Through talking you may gain new perspectives and ideas! My friend Phillip here for example is always full of motivation, inspiration and energy, he helped me a lot to win my motivation back when I was down. I am so proud of him that he achieved his goal to create a travel platform Have You Been Here . It is still in a test version, but for all those people who likes to travel, go check it out guys and be one of the first to know about the next social media trend!
