In times of bad luck it is quite difficult to have a positive mindset but how you think influences your attitude and also your actions. Most of the times I do have a positive mind but there are also phases, where I don’t have my positive thinking and it does make a difference how I solve my problems and tasks, especially when it comes to my studies. Setting a positive mind can happen overnight in my opinion, but you can also gain a positive mind step by step.
I. SEE FAILURES AS A LESSON
If something bad happens to you, see it as a lesson. What you can do is to write down what went wrong and how you will solve this task next time.
II. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE PEOPLE
If you are sticking with negative thinking people too often, you will adapt their thinking and that won’t help you to get a positive mindset. Surround yourself with positive people, either it’s a family member, co-worker or friend. Talk with them about anything you want and you will see, what kind of view they have to different topics and it may open your eyes to see some things positive instead of negative.
III. LISTEN TO GOOD MUSIC
When I wake up, the first thing I do is to turn music on which lifts my mood. Not only will it be easier to get up to good mood music ( that’s how I call it ) but you will also feel happy and that leads you to start your day with a positive mind and more energy to get things done.
IV. THINK IN THE PRESENT
If you always look back on the failures you have experienced it is of course very frustrating. Think about where you stand right now and how you got there and how you solved or survived your failure! It will give you a motivation boost.
V. DON’T BE TOO SERIOUS
Sometimes you need to put a lot of humor in a situation to see it more positively. Whenever I got in trouble when I was younger, I always put some humor into the situation and I immediately saw things different and more positive, that way I was also able to solve my problem better. Now that I grew older I feel like I forgot to be humorous, but thank god I met my boyfriend :).
