4 Tips For A Low Budget Travel

The last time I wrote about How To Enjoy City Trips Without Planning , this time I would like to give you another 4 tips on traveling on a low budget:

I. BOOK ON AIR BNB

Air BnB is a good place to book if you are more than 4 people because the prices are often per night and not per person just like the hotels. I like to book on Air BnB when I am traveling with my friends. It is not only cheaper, we also have a whole house for ourselves and we don’t really have to be careful about being too loud.

II. BOOK IN A CENTRAL LOCATION

If you book in a central location, most of the time you can explore the city by walking and you don’t have to pay a lot of money for tickets. For example when I was in Barcelona we booked our flat at la rambla – a central point in the city and we could explore the city just by walking.

III. TAKE YOUR STUDENTS CARD WITH YOU

I used to forget or leave my student’s ID card at home, but since I missed a few times to get discount on a visit of a sightseeing attraction and had to spent so much money, I always bring it with me! Here in China students often get 50 % discount with their student’s ID card and I was able to save so much money!

IV. VISIT YOUR FRIENDS

If you have friends who would love to give you shelter for a few nights, definitely go visit them! As long as you’re young you can sleep on a couch at a friend’s house and have the time of your life! I unfortunately didn’t take the chances when my friends were all over the world, I bet I could have save a little big amount of money if I would have visited them. If your friends study abroad, they may know good places already when you visit them and can guide you through the city and give you some valuable tips at first hand 🙂

How do you guys save money on trips?

Love

Luna
