Big City Life Recovery In Qingdao

It has been a while but I still wanted to post about the beautiful city Qingdao, because it was a great time!

I spent Christmas at the beach for the very first time even though it was pretty cold in Qingdao! When my friend asked me to come with her to Qingdao over Christmas, it was a spontaneous decision and I said yes and not even one day after that, we booked our flights from Shanghai to Qingdao.

Totally hungover from a party at bar rouge before, we went to the airport to catch our flight to Qingdao. Qingdao is much more smaller than Shanghai, it is also more relaxed and more calm than in Shanghai.

We were staying at my friend’s friend’s dorm, it was really cozy! On Christmas Day we went to the beach and enjoyed the beautiful sunset and went to a cozy little cafe at the beach. After that we had an American Christmas with some English teachers from the Qingdao University. We sang some Christmas songs and had traditional Christmas food, it couldn’t be better than this!

Every morning we had chocolate and other delicious things for breakfast and Christmas time was filled with a lot of making food and having food. On our last day we went hiking to Fu Shan before we went back to Shanghai. It was super windy but worth the view!

I didn’t take a lot of photos this time because I made a video and I also tried to live in the moment rather than experiencing everything through a lens. If you want to see the video, click here

I couldn’t wish for a better Christmas with my friend from Shanghai and I am very glad, she took me with her to Qingdao!
