The One Way Against Greasy Hair Without Using Anything

Hello my sparks,

are you one of those girls who only has to wash their hair only once or twice a week? Or do you belong to the ones who has to wash their hair every single day or every two days?

If you belong to the first group- Congrats! For the others: Don’t worry, I got you!

I usually belong to the first group, but when Christmas was about to come in 2017, I always had to have freshly washed hair, so I washed them about 3 or even 4 times a week- which is not good!

REASONS WHY YOUR SCALP CAN BE ITCHY

Especially in winter time our skin in general tends to be dry because of environmental circumstances: You come from warm to cold temperature and from cold to warm several times a day. When my head started to itch I first thought I would have cooties ( bah ! ) but I hadn’t and I was looking for an explanation why my head was itching all the time, even if I washed them. The reason was my scalp was just too dry. But there are many reasons why your scalp is itchy:

  • If you use a lot of products with silicone it can damage your scalp
  • If your hair coloration didn’t jar with your scalp it can cause itchiness
  • Or your anti-dandruff shampoo is too aggressive

There are many ways to prevent this itchiness but to be honest, I’ve never tried them- I never want to use too many products on my hair, I don’t even blow dry it! Of course I use some products when I have special occasion and do straighten my hair but this case is really rare.

Anyway, the ONE way I have always used and which was always helpful is to grease my hair for one week! Yes, I said grease your hair for one week- full seven days! I know it sounds nasty but it helps, I’m swearing on it! (By the way, while I am writing it, it’s the last day of letting my hair grease and it feels way less itchy than it was the last week haha). Unfortunately letting your hair grease for two days won’t be enough, the duration has to be at minimum 5 days in my opinion. And the longer the better!!! By letting your hair grease your sebaceous glands on your scalp will adjust to the situation that they don’t need  to produce that many sebum anymore.

HOW CAN I LET MY HAIR GREASE? I DON’T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!

Gladly, we have winter, so now is the best time to let them grease because then you don’t need to do it in summer. In my opinion and from my experience letting your hair grease makes your scalp smelly because in summer you sweat a lot more than during winter time. You can let your hair grease during your vacations or starting on from Friday to Monday if you don’t have to work on weekends. But if you have to go out and see people everyday, I have my 7 day plan starting on from Monday.

HOW TO LET YOUR HAIR GREASE FOR SEVEN DAYS AND HIDE THIS NASTY LOOK

MONDAY

Was your hair for the last time and say bye to freshness for one week and hello oily looking hair! But think at the result- you won’t have to wash them every day and spend a lot of time on blow drying them ( if you blow dry them )

TUESDAY

Everything still good? Fine. Don’t touch your hair too much, it just boosts the sebum production.

WEDNESDAY

It probably starts to look greasy… You know what helps? Dry Shampoo.

THURSDAY

Tie your hair into a pony tail or dutt.

FRIDAY

Wear a cap, hat, bonnet whatever kind of style you like 🙂

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Just stay home this weekend and watch netflix and chill and have some wine ( this is my ideal situation haha )

Aaaaand? Was it that bad?? Let me know if you have ever tried to let your hair grease and if it helped or not! And tell me what tricks you use if you want to hide your bad hair days!

Love

    Susa
