The Drunken Dragon Bar

What a cool name to dine and drink! As part of the Hutong Club, The Drunken Dragon Bar serves Chinese food and cool drinks in the popular quarter of Glockenbach in Munich. The interior has an Asian but still modern atmosphere and the walls are decorated with paintings of colorful dragons, which lools really cool. My friend and I had Fried Sweet Potato Fries with a elder- thai- basil- mayonnaise, which was so delicious! You should definitely order this for a snack. We were so excited about all the dishes and couldn’t decide for one, so we ordered Spicy Pork and Chives Wan Tan, Roasted Pork Belly and Green Beans ( Shao Rou ) and Chen Mapo Tofu. For the last two dishes I would recommend you to order one of them, because it is quite a lot.   The food tastes very authentic, most of the times many restaurants don’t taste like the real Asian food we eat at home, but The Drunken Dragon Bar is the place to eat if you want it! It is …

Taj Mahal

I finally found an Indian restaurant in Munich which totally convinced me! It’s the Taj Mahal, it is only a few minutes away from my house and it’s my new favorite Indian restaurant. When I lived in Regensburg, Ganesha was my favorite Indian restaurant because they had so good food and the service and the prices were amazing! I have never found another restaurant as good as Ganesha until now. Taj Mahal is not far away from the metro station and it is easy to find. The waiters are very friendly and even if there’s a big street next to that restaurant, it isn’t noisy at all when you sit outside. The service was fast and friendly, an appetizer was served when we waited for the food and the food came so fast!!! Also the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and I loved the atmosphere when we sat outside. I always order chicken when I eat Indian food, I can really recommend Chicken Korma – I just love the coconut sauce here! Or Indian Sauce …

Featured Foodie: I Love Leo from Vesela

Hello my dear readers, I created a new series for you guys, to give you the opportunity to discover new blogs and inspirations 🙂 So this is my featured foodie Friday and the first person I want to introduce to you is Vesela from the blog Vesela Space . She is also like me a blogger from Munich and writes about travel, books and everything that inspires her. She is such a lovely girl and I am happy to have the chance to talk to her 🙂 Her favorite food place at the moment is I love Leo: Don’t worry, be happy – I Love Leo Walking around the English Garden, I have discovered i love leo by chance. It is a frozen yogurt shop and a café. They offer by far the best frozen yogurt in Munich. Oh, the toppings! I have recently tried gummy bears with blueberries. I know it is a weird combination but I absolutely love it. There are so many toppings to choose from – you won’t be disappointed.   i love …

Sushi And Soul

After a long time I finally got to see a good friend again and we decided to have some sushi at Sushi And Soul. It is located in the center of the Glockenbach quarter of Munich. I’ve never been there but I heard only good reviews about it. The restaurant is quite elegant and has a modern design, it is not typical asian, but I love it. The waiter are also very polite and there is a big selection of sushi rolls, bento boxes and so on. I wasn’t very hungry so I just ordered yakitori maki. My friend chose to have a bento box, which was in the happy hour menue ( from 6pm until 7.30 pm ), so it was only half the price. I don’t know how they knew we were vietnamese, but I got my plate with ‘anh yeu em‘ which means ‘I love you’ on it haha. And after dinner we also got two drinks for free. My sushi was very good, the chicken inside my sushi was very tender. After …

Deli Dosa

I always try to have lunch at different places, this time I went to Deli Dosa with my friend to have lunch. The atmosphere there is really nice, they offer wraps, salads, pancakes, chutneys and more. I had a chicken wrap for 8,80 € – I think this restaurant is a little bit pricy but it’s because they’re using fresh ingredients every day and even their electricity is ecological. You can also order everything for to go or they deliver the food to you as well. The food they offer reminds me of a mix of Indian and Mexican food, a good combination! They also have vegetarian and vegan options. It becomes more and more important for people to have fresh food and they also like to live more sustainable, it is for our environment and I support that! For me, it is worth the price to eat there. Gyoza Bar

In my last post I told you about my new food addiction dumplings and I am still on that! But I found a new place to try out: Gyoza Bar. They don’t have a website yet, that’s why I couldn’t give you guys the link. The location is pretty small and they offer soups, salads and desserts as well here.l I tried the wantans and my friend tried a soup. My portion was served on a big plate with two different sauces. It wasn’t enough, so I got more sauce for free, I think not every restaurant does that, do they? The waitress was very friendly and really fast. We also got a mango pudding for free at the end. They have special offers like ‘try it all for 12,90€’. Therefore you can get 12 wantans, I think it is cheaper than LeDu. I ordered 8 wantans for 5,90 €, I think that’s cheap comparing to Munich prices. I cannot tell which one is better, I like them both, but I think I like the Gyoza Bar …
